1. Who we are
ChatMe is an independent affiliate website. We are not a social network, we do not operate a video chat service, and we do not collect your camera or microphone data. This policy covers only data processed by the ChatMe website itself.

2. What we collect
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand site traffic. This is a cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sessions, and does not share data with advertising networks. Data collected includes: page views, country, browser type, device type. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Local storage
When you start a chat, we store a small flag in your browser's local storage
(chatme_returning_visitor) so returning visitors skip the splash screen
and go straight to chat. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it
at any time via your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may retain standard server access logs including IP addresses, request URLs, and timestamps. These are kept for security and operational purposes and are not used for marketing.
3. Cookies
ChatMe itself does not set cookies. Cloudflare's infrastructure may set a technical
cookie (__cf_bm) for bot protection purposes. No advertising or
tracking cookies are used.
4. Third-party services
When you click to start a chat, CooMeet's embed script loads on the page. At that point CooMeet's own privacy practices apply. They may collect data necessary to operate the video chat service. We do not control what CooMeet collects.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not use your data for advertising targeting. We will share data only where required by law.
6. Your rights
Because ChatMe collects minimal data and uses no persistent identifiers, most standard data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) have limited practical application here. If you have a specific concern, contact us and we will do our best to help.
7. Children
ChatMe is strictly for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has accessed this site, please contact us.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted prominently.
